Fasting For Beginners

Occasional fasting is helpful in weight loss and reversing some health conditions.  It’s even helpful as a cancer preventative.  It’s not recommended to fast if you are thin or underweight. 

Fasting on fruits and vegetable juice for 1-3 days can be done under the care of a trained professional who knows what to do. 

Start your fast by going on a fresh fruit and vegetable diet for a few days.  This could be just juice or eating fresh fruit and vegetables cooked or blended into a smoothie. I personally like to add a scoop of the Live Ultimate Elixir to give my juice an added boost. I also prefer to juice in the morning and eat solid veggies in the afternoon. I like to season my veggies with sea salt and a blend of herbs to give food flavor just before blanching or sauteing them in coconut oil. As a beginner faster make the process enjoyable and season veggies well.

When juicing, prepare 34 oz of juice and drink throughout the day. Prepare your juice the day before using a juicer. There are many juices on the market. My favorite one is the Omega NC900C. Consume all your juice and fruit for the day by 5 pm. Remember to drink your weight in ounces of water daily to flush and keep the body hydrated. 

After a few days, switch to an alkaline nourishing diet that consists of vegetable broth. Simmer thinks of potato peelings, carrots, and beets. Strain drink the water on top. Mash half-inch thick potato peelings, brown rice, carrots, greens of all kinds, red cabbage, parsley, and other vegetables. 

Eating good food treats malnutrition, and many people develop cancer because of the lack of protective, nourishing foods needed.  Cancer thrives in a malnourished body. Pure malnutrition is responsible for at least 22% and up to 75% of all cancer deaths.
