The Healing Power of Reiki and its Reflections in the 7 Spiritual Laws of Success

The art of Reiki is a system of natural healing that originated in Japan in the early 20th century, now widely practiced worldwide. It involves the transfer of energy through a therapist’s hands to promote relaxation, healing and balance of physical, emotional, and spiritual being. Reiki is rooted in the spirituality of many ancient religions and philosophies, which aligns with the principles of energy medicine. In this blog post, we will discuss the history of Reiki, its benefits, and its correlations with the 7 spiritual laws of energy medicine.

Reiki is an ancient and effective method of healing dating back to ancient times, but it was reintroduced in Japan in the early 1900s by a Japanese Buddhist monk named Mikao Usui. The word “Reiki” means “universal life energy” or “spiritual life force” and refers to the energy that flows through all living beings. The Usui Reiki system not only focuses on the healing of the physical body, but also the emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of an individual.

The practice of Reiki has many benefits, such as stress reduction, relaxation, and pain relief. During a Reiki session, the patient lies down, and the therapist places their hands on or near the person’s body, depending on how the energy flows. The energy transfer helps remove blockages caused by physical or emotional issues in the body, which promotes healing. Reiki is non-invasive, safe, and does not cause any side effects.

The 7 spiritual Laws of Success, as explained by Deepak Chopra, can be seen as reflections of the philosophy of Reiki. The Law of Pure Potentiality is about recognizing the infinite possibilities of the universe, and Reiki helps open the different pathways to access this potential. The Law of Giving and Receiving teaches that energy is ever-flowing, and in Reiki, both the therapist and the patient give and receive energy during the session. The Law of Karma, or cause and effect, recognizes that everything we do comes back to us, and Reiki helps to release any negative karma or blockages that may hinder us.

The Law of Least Effort suggests that with the right intention, the universe will unfold itself naturally, and in Reiki, the therapist holds the intention of promoting natural healing for the patient. The Law of Intention and Desire discusses the importance of having clear intentions and desires, which is very much emphasized in Reiki as the practitioner must hold a clear focus during the session. The Law of Detachment reminds us that everything is temporary and that we need to let go of material and emotional attachments to achieve true peace. Reiki’s power lies in releasing the emotional and physical trauma that may be causing the attachments.

Reiki is different from other energy medicine practices like tantra therapy, acupuncture, and medical qigong because it primarily focuses on transferring energy through the hands-on technique, whereas acupuncture uses needles, and medical qigong teaches energy regulation through movement, sound, and visualization. Tantra therapy addresses the individual’s sexual energy to access healing, which is different from Reiki’s non-sexual technique.

Reiki continues to gain popularity as a natural and holistic approach to healing, which aligns with the principles of energy medicine. It is a gentle, non-invasive method that helps to relieve stress, emotional and physical pain and blocks. The 7 spiritual laws of energy medicine serve as reflections of Reiki’s philosophy and practice. It is essential to understand the differences in the practice of energy medicine and choose the approach that aligns with individual needs and beliefs. Reiki offers a promising tool for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing in the modern world.
